Republican Rick Bart, the former Snohomish County Sheriff running for Congress in District 2, has just launched his campaign website, http:http://www.electrickbart.com.

He is running against incumbent Rick Larsen, who is currently in the news for endorsing Barack Obama Thursday.  Larsen's website is http://www.ricklarsen.org/.

U.S. Rep. Rick LarsenRepublican candidate Rick Bart may be a former sheriff, but he doesn't have all the law on his side. Today the Washington State Patrol Troopers Association endorsed incumbent U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen for Congress in the 2nd District.

Former Snohomish County Sheriff Rick Bart (R-Arlington) is running for U.S. House in the 2nd District in part because he just isn't ready to call it quits on public service. Yesterday Sound Politics blog announced that the long-running rumor that former Snohomish County Sheriff Rick Bart will run for Congress in the 2nd District is true. Bart has decided to announce his entry into the race next week in Snohomish. That news was confirmed today by Snohomish County GOP Chair Geri Modrell.
