The Kitsap Caucus blog is reporting that Poulsbo City Councilwoman Connie Lord, a Republican, will challenge state Sen. Phil Rockefeller (D-Bainbridge Island) for his 23rd District seat. The post states that Lord is primarily concerned with the "disconnect between state agencies and what's on the ground" in terms of local government. Lord made the announcement at the Kitsap County GOP Lincoln Dinner on Friday.
