Clinton delegates in 43rd hang tough

SEATTLE -

Earlier in the day, the 270 elected Hillary Clinton delegates in the 43rd Legislative District were crammed into the Lincoln High School auditorium among well over a thousand Barack Obama supporters, subject to chants of "O-bam-a!" on a regular basis. But once the voting was done, when the district allotted its 67 state delegates between Clinton and Obama, things got a little safer for the Clinton folks.

Alternate delegates end political journey early, but its no big deal

SEATTLE -

Once the credentials committee gave their delegate report just before noon here at the 43rd Legislative District caucus, it was win or go home time for the hundreds of alternates seated in the gymnasium bleachers at Garfield High School.

SEATTLE -

Hollywood actor Sean Astin, stars of such films as "The Goonies", "Rudy" and the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, addressed the 43rd Legislative District Caucus as a surrogate for Hillary Clinton.

Sims talks superdelegate status on NPR

On the eve of the state's Democratic Legislative District caucuses, King County Executive Ron Sims was profiled by NPR's All Things Considered today because of his role as a superdelegate. The piece highlighted his unique role as an African American who supports Hillary Clinton, and as an electe superdelegate who has endorsed against the strong will of his constituents.

Tales from a Tacoma Caucus

Parking was scarce at Jason Lee Middle School Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM and cars were circling around the residential blocks north of 6th Avenue, whose cute houses with well-manicured lawns draw a sharp contrast to the cluster of fast food restaurants and payday loan centers that take up most of the property across the 6th Ave and Division Street split.
