McMorris will defend her seat

As expected, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers will announce her intention to run for Congress in the 5th CD, the Spokesman Review is reporting. McMorris was first elected in 2004 and will be seeking her third term representing Eastern Washington.
According to her campaign website, the announcement will be a three-tiered St. Patrick's Day event.
We will officially kick-off the campaign with a breakfast at the Spokane Convention Center followed by a lunch at the Spokane Valley Mirabeau Hotel on St. Patrick's Day, Monday, March 17th.
Then we are off to Walla Walla for a dinner Tuesday, March 18th followed by a breakfast at the Walla Walla VFW on Wednesday, March 19th.
Our final kick-off event is a reception scheduled in the home of Steve and Theresa Fuhrman in Kettle Falls on the evening of Wednesday, March 19th.
