Huckabee Likens WA Caucus Count to USSR, Says Voters Should Be Outraged

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee gave a harshly worded indictment of the Washington State GOP's decision to call the caucus for John McCain during an interview on CNN this morning.

"They decided just to quit counting votes.," Huckabee said. "That's hardly the American way to decide an election."

The Arkansan repeatedly claimed that the call was made "arbitrarily," and went much further in his accusations.

"That is not what we do in an American election, it is maybe how they used to conduct it in the old Soviet Union, but you don't just throw people's votes out and say, 'well we're not gonna bother counting them because we think we know where this thing is going.' Voters across America, not just voters in Washington state ought to be outraged over it."

Calls have been placed to the WSRP for comment, but their communications voicemail box is currently full. Comments will be updated as they are received.
