Fearing joins Burner group to release strategy to end war

The group, led by Darcy Burner (D-Carnation), of Democratic congressional challengers that will present a "comprehensive strategy to bring the war in Iraq to responsible close" has been updated to include 4th District challenger George Fearing (D-Richland).

The strategy is described in a recent press release below:

"Based on consultations with retired generals and other national security experts on a path forward to end the war, the challengers' plan lays out a series of actions for Congress to take to end United States military involvement in Iraq, strengthen America and improve our standing around the world, restore accountability and checks and balances to our government and work toward energy independence."

Fearing told the Politicker that he affiliated himself with the group because of their common goals.

"I hope to achieve the removal and redeployment of our troops out of Iraq," said Fearing. "I hope to achieve the election, in November, of members of Congress that will echo the same opinion that the war has gone on too long and it is time to return our troops and get them out of harm's way."
