Popular Retired Sheriff Rick Bart Builds His Posse for Congressional Race
Snohomish, WA - On Tuesday, April 15th, Republican Rick Bart will "swear in" his supporters and officially kick off what promises to be a spirited race for Washington's 2nd Congressional District.
Starting at 7:00 pm, at the Buzz Inn Restaurant at Harvey Field in Snohomish, Bart will officially announce his candidacy and reveal his plans for unseating the incumbent, and restoring trust, action and leadership in Congress.
"People have to be able to trust their sheriff, and they should be able to trust their Congressman," said Bart. "This Congress needs to be changed, one person at a time. Let's begin here in the 2nd district."
Rick Bart was first elected Snohomish County Sheriff in 1995, and served for the past 12 years. Bart and his wife, Wendy, live in Arlington. Wendy is the Executive Director of the Marysville YMCA. The 2nd Congressional District includes Island, King, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish and Whatcom counties.
