The Washington State Democratic Party has called on Dino Rossi to denounce (and reject) the influential Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) lobby for their controversial remarks in newsletters calling Governor Gregoire a "she-wolf who would eat her own young" and likening the Department of Ecology to Nazi Germany in a very extended metaphor. The news release they sent out calls the BIAW Rossi's largest financial backers in the state.
"Republican Dino Rossi's ultra-conservative, right-wing backers have crossed the line, and Rossi has a responsibility to publicly reject and put an end to these attacks," said Washington State Democratic Party Chair Dwight Pelz. "These tactics have no place in our politics, and Rossi should immediately reject and denounce them, refuse the BIAW's endorsement and sever his financial ties to the organization and its members."
Rossi happened to be walking into the TNT's office at the time they received the press release and his response was, "Who's Mark Musser? Never met him."
Musser is the one who wrote the Nazi piece. Read the full press release here.
