Attorney General Rob McKenna has issued a statement expressing his thoughts on the early returns from today's "top two" primary that show him with a 12 point lead over Democrat John Ladenburg.

"I'm gratified to have the support of so many voters for another term as their attorney general. Tonight's results show that I have broad support across the state. Voters recognize that I have worked hard to fight identity thieves, battle meth and protect our kids from sex predators.
"My strong lead was achieved without spending money on television, radio, or mailers. Now that the primary is behind us, I am looking ahead to November and the task of ensuring that all voters are familiar with my strong record of fighting crime and protecting families."
