Reichert unveils two web ads

Rep. Dave Reichert's campaign for re-election in the 8th Congressional District has made two web advertisements that will be available on a number of local websites beginning this week. The videos each showcase Reichert talking about a unique issue, energy and the economy, and follow his opponent Darcy Burner's recent television ad buy.

"The Eighth District is the perfect demographic for this sort of innovative web-ad campaign," said Amanda Halligan on behalf of the Reichert campaign. "This is arguably the most wired district in the country. Voters here are
connected, progressive and tech savvy - so we're leaning forward with this new technology to spread Dave's message. On the web, anytime can be primetime to reach a voter."

The energy ad focuses on what Reichert says is America's need to diversify energy sources and look to the future.

"The first thing we need to recognize right off the bat," Reichert says, "fossil fuel is not the answer to our energy problems."

The ad on the economy, on the other hand, focuses on the need to keep taxes low in order to keep the economy strong.

"Keeping taxes low creates jobs and lower the deficit," Reichert says. "If nothing is done and the current plans in Congress are carried out, taxes will increase by nearly $3,000 per Washington family."
